For accommodation choices, Pattaya can be divided into 4 main areas: North Pattaya (Naklua Bay), Central Pattaya, South Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. Different styles of hotels are available – hotels, resorts or guest houses – varying by quality, taste, and budget. What ever budget you can afford, there is no doubt you will find an accommodation that is suited to your pocket and life style.
Hotels in North Pattaya and Jomtien Beach have a nice quiet atmosphere which offers a little bit of seclusion. This is the best choice for a family or someone who prefers privacy. The general rule of thumb is the more secluded the accommodation is the more expensive the rates will be.

For hotels that have direct access to beach front, mostly are located on North Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. There are also many hotels on the Pra Tumnak hill cliff that offer you a secluded private beach like Sheraton Pattaya Resort.
In central Pattaya, you can also access to the beach easily just across the beach road, then you will find the long public beach which there will be many people who like to offer you some services like food, drink, massage, manicure etc. It is convenient but sometimes it is also too much, obviously it will not be the place if you look for quiet area to read your book while having sunbath.

For the party-goers who love entertainment all day and night, the accommodations in Central Pattaya and South Pattaya are recommended. There are many hotels, especially on Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road.
If you are going to Pattaya only to enjoy and experience the nightlife you should stay anywhere near or adjacent to Walking Street. You cannot miss this street because this is the major tourist attraction hub. This seedy street is filled with plenty of outdoor bars, indoor bars, beer bars with Muay Thai matches, disco clubs and a smattering of massage parlors catering to men. Whatever your intentions are of visiting Pattaya you will surely find it on Walking Street.
Are you into water sports but don’t want to pay big bucks to stay in all inclusive resorts?
Kayaks and Jet Skis can be rented on the beach for a very decent price. You can even get an affordable body massage on the beach just a few feet away from the rolling waves. The great thing about vacationing in Pattaya and Thailand overall is that a small budget can go a long way.
