Swimming pools, activities, food
The Royal Cliff hotel is lovely, the various pools are amazing and the breakfast is to die for but unfortunately this hotel mainly caters for the Russian tourists, one of the guest relations staff only spoke Russian, could not speak English at all. Also the hotel does offer 30 minute internet time in their business room but does not offer wifi, or only offers wifi for a pretty significant fee. On the plus side we had the most adorable room cleaner called Sahorn who made a really big effort making us feel welcome in our room and folded towels into Swans, crabs and rabbits, she’s a gem. The hotel is pretty far from Pattaya Beach and Jomtien so Tuk Tuks were needed to get anywhere costing anywhere between (depending on the driver) and the hotel shuttle bus only operates 3 times a day from 1400.
Hotel Feature Tip : swimming pools, check out the pool at the fitness center, its amazing
Model resort hotel, good staff, excellent amenitie

private beach, excellent bf
a twin bed is assigned upon check-in(2pm) without asking. we found out until we get in the room. the escort staff was very nice, call to the recp to change another room. but there was a 10 minutes wait until we have a king-bed room. the new room have same excellent seaview, renovated with new sofa, bed-runner and cupboards fresher than the 1st room assigned. everything is good in the room except that the light beside the bed goes on and off automatically all night, can’t be switch off or stay still, but we were too tired to get help. but that is the only thing we can say about the room, everything else was excellent. we had a great time in the seafood restaurant by the private beach. good food and reasonable price. but there are millions of flys sharing the lunch with us. the private beach is not crowded, had a great time there until a speed boat bump in and land right in the middle of the beach. and then i found that there are no any life guard or hotel staff standby and fix the issue. the hotel have shuttle to the city center at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. you have to book a seat in advance or otherwise you have to call ‘taxi’ which cost at lease to get to the main area(8km). the bf is excellent, with wide variety of food, fruit juices and great coffee.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Better book a tour that can pick you up from the hotel. It is a hassle to get transport from the hotel to anywhere.
Nice poolarea + beach acess

Quiet area but only 5 min by car if you want nightlife
good rooms and very nice for a lazy weekend, but not so much to do outside the hotel area. they have a free bus to pattaya, but the last roundtrip are 6 pm!!!! have very high price for eat and drink at the hotel so maybe thats why the want to keep the guest in the hotel in evenings. but it’s a very good place for relax and play in the swimmingpools have many to chose
Travel tip : Don’t check in/out around midday, that take long time.
Location : Jomtien Beach
Great location for beach, privacy, shopping and eating
The resort is very nice and also very private, like being at home while in our room. The decor was great, very much in the Thai tradition, beds could have been a little softer. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restraunt was very convenient also, it has a nice breakfast buffet and the evening grill was also quite appetizing. The resort sits right off the beach and was very convenient getting to the water. I will go back!

Great Weekend Getaway
This resort was exactly what we were looking for our weekend getaway. It was in a quiet area and we liked how we didn’t need to cross a busy road to get to the beach like a lot of the other hotels. The pool area is beautiful with a lot greenery surrounding it. Rooms were large and confortable. Overall our stay at the rabbit resort was perfect. We will stay there for certain if we are ever in Pattaya again and I will recommend it to others who are traveling in the area.

The perfect place to stay in Pattaya!
The courteous staff was something to behold. It started with the driver arranged to meet us at the airport and didn’t end until the moment we checked out. The bungalow rooms are quite amazing, as are the beautiful grounds the property sits on. The location to the beach cannot be beat. The inclusive breakfast will satisfy even the pickiest.
I wish there was a screened in dining area, as the bugs were a real nuisance.
I would recommend the Rabbit Resort to anyone visiting Pattaya, Bangkok. The beautiful property sits right on the beach. The private bungalows are nestled in a lush garden setting. The security is awesome. The staff tends to every need imaginable. I can’t wait to return.
Location : Central Pattaya
Hightly Recommend for Pattaya Night Life Lovers!!!
Sunshine Hotel is in located in Pattaya soi 8, the well known nightlife area. In my opinion this hotel is a good value. It was worth the money I paid to stay here. i enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is centrally located and has a drug store almost next door and a convenience store close. The Pattaya beach is also easily accessible for this hotel. The night life starts about 75 feet from hotel entrance.
I arrived at the hotel and checked in easily I was taken to my room and it was nice. I received a free breakfast . The room was taken care efficiently. The view from my room was nice. 2 very nice pools and one for the kids.
There are 2 or 3 Sunshine Hotel in Pattaya, one is service apartment another one in North Pattaya, make sure that you book the right one.

March 2009 visit, good hotel and location
Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel – Pattaya: Well situated with all the usual tourist hotel facilities, good sized pool, and the breakfast was the normal international range of foodstuffs that were replaced regularly. I found staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms were fine but starting to date. The shower is seperate from the bath which was a nice bonus. Hotel is mainly used by Russians and other tour groups which resulted in a lot of door banging from 6 a.m. onwards as they departed on their daily tours. 300 baht charge for 2nd key card was a bit odd but it is refundable.
Close to beach and restaurants, good sized pool
Housemaids were talking loudly early in morning, early morning departing tour groups banging their doors(not hotel’s fault)

Tired hotel but good location
Good location, decent breakfast, lots of facilities, really nice pools, friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice toiletries in bathroom, big room with king bed and twin bed
Hotel needs renovation, room decor is faded and it feels like a 2-3 star hotel, also smells a bit musty, ants were in the room and in the bathroom, mattress was uneven and hard, not many cable channels
Overall the stay was nice. the hotel is in need of room renovation but at least it was clean. at the very least, the carpets need to be removed. because of the carpets the room and hallways were musty smelling and probably not good for anyone with bad allergies and/or asthma. this is a hotel for big tour groups and in the low season it’s fine, but i am sure that in the high season it is far too hectic! the location was great and staff were extremely helpful.

Wish I’d known about this place earlier
In general, I think that this was a really good find. I don’t know many other places where these kinds of conditions / facilities / decor etc are available for less than a thousand baht per night, right next to the beach. There are several restaurants in walking distance, or if you’d like to travel a little further, at the end of the strip is the Famous Loong Saway Thai Seafood restaurant – great food, and Roti and fruit vendors readily available for desert. Our family is quite picky about food and normally try to avoid eating Thai food in places where foreigners frequent as the taste is often below par to suit ‘farang’ or ‘foreign / western’ palates. The food here though was done well in most cases and not unreasonably priced. Upon check-in, there was a potentially volatile situation that the staff handled really well and as mentioned in the ‘pros’ section turned it into a win-win outcome. Overall, as far as value for money, I would give Sarita Chalet a thumbs up and most likely stay there again.

Sarita Hotel – Jomtien on a budget
Good breakfast, beach only 10 metres away, friendly polite staff.
We enjoyed our 5 days at the Sarita, so close to the quiet, clean beach right opposite and only 10 mins bus ride from Walking Street Pattaya. Rooms are clean, maybe a little spartan but I’ve seen worse for more money so no complaints. If you get a henna tattoo on the beach, make sure you clean off the excess before getting into bed, or they will charge you for new sheets….

Love it!
Resort was beautiful and convenient. The room was comfortable and has a nice flooring.
Sarita is one of the best resorts I have been to. It is a nice place at a convenient part of Jomtien beach, with a convenience store right beside. For the sea sports enthusiasts, you can also find plenty of activities, such as banana boating, and jet-skiing right outside. There are tents available for rental too, if you are keen on simply relaxing by the beach.

Hard rock weekend
We went there just for a long weekend, so we spent most of our day time in the pool, we arrived on sat and there were so games and function in/ by the poolside, it was fun, but couldn’t relax much. We’ve got a beautiful room facing to the sea, beautiful sunset scene, bathroom was a bit small but really love the bathtub.
If u want to have quiet relax time by the pool, hard rock probably not the choice as they play music loud there all the time
Hotel Feature Tip : better stay higher floor if possible, as music loud on till late at night

Great family holiday
We looked at a few reviews before we arrived about the hotel as we had stayed in the resort 4 times. We had been in the hotel for meals and the foam parties.
After reading the reviews we where expecting the holiday to be a flop.
There was 4 children in our group 4,6.8 and a 12 year old. The children loved every minute we stayed at the hotel. We stayed for 3 weeks. The staff were the best they rocked for the whole time we where. They made the holiday. Every member of the hotel staff where friendly happy and always helping you.
The rooms where of good size clean and where all being done up. We had a seaview superior room which was lovely.
The location of the hotel is central and just a short walk to the department stores.
The hotel amenities where second to none
The only down fall was we had to come home. No the foam party was a little busy and alot of young people where in the pool.
Overall it was a real good holiday and dont let some of the reviews put you off.
The hotel is good the food a little dear you can eat out for a lot less. Will be going back soon

Always Delivers
Just completed my 7th stay in January at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya. It is a welcome retreat to the hustle and bustle of the streets of Pattaya. The number one asset of this hotel is the staff! They are always friendly, helpful and ready to make a holiday enjoyable and relaxing. The best feature of the property is the pool and if activities is your thing they have fun games all afternoon. For me, reading a book, enjoying a drink and soaking up sun suits me well and this is a perfect venue for that. The rooms have received new flat screen tv monitors mounted to the wall – a nice recent addition. Rooms are comfortable with fun HRC bedding. The F&B areas are very suitable – breakfast buffet (included in most rates) offers a large variety of hot items, cereals, danish, fruit and all the expectations of a complete meal to start the day. Health club is moderate in size but equipment is well kept and never had to wait to use.
Overall i think once you find this place you will want to “Keep on Rockin”!

Great Place
Very, very nice place to hang out and chill. Right on the beach, has great tropical grounds and swimming pool. I would highly recommend this place as an out of the way resort to relax in.

Fergusons at Botany
Our very short stopover stay at the Botany Beach resort was just what we needed after a long flight from UK to Bangkok en route to Sydney. The facilities were good especially the excellent pool. The staff were friendly although at times slower than previous experience in Thailand had led us to expect. I would suggest that it would be worthwhile pointing out to UK/Aus guests that the resort is frequented by few other Uk/Aus guests

The best sea an Pattaya
Good beach, green area, free PC and WiFi.
Cozy and agreeable hotel, but you need a taxi to find some shopping or entertainments. Only a road and a couple of restaurants are near the hotel. Big green area and two pools should be interesting for children. Hotel is far from city so sea and beach is clean and enpty enough. Breakfest was good – a variety af food, fruits, but I have not tried dinner in the hotel.

Great Place!
What a great couple of nights we had here. They treat you like royalty at this hotel. The manager, waiters, housekeepers, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Get a bungalow if possible we stayed in a suite that was 2 stories and great but the bungalows are closer to the beach and just so cute! The food at the restaurant isn’t to be missed if you like Thai food. Cant wait to go back!

Quiet, Friendly Paradise
This is a perfect place for a quiet, easy-going holiday. Peaceful, relaxing surroundings, but a short drive from busy Pattaya center via shuttle or local taxi. Some small cheap shops and restaurants nearby. The owner, manager and staff are the friendliest, most cheerful and helpful I have ever met! Every personal request was immediately answered. The setting is beautiful, with lovely gardens and 2-story buildings and bungalows. The quiet beach is a short walk across the lawn. Decor is not luxurious but very nice and kept very clean. There are many great features including kitchenette, balcony, free wifi internet and DVD in the rooms. You can even borrow a laptop and movies or books from the small library! I definitely plan to stay here again!
